Date: 27 January 1988, 00:21:34 GMT From: Simon Poole 056/26 87 43 K538915 at CZHRZU1A To: INFO-ATARI16 at SCORE.STANFORD [How I love typing in subject lines from memory.......] Just one remark: I've finished a much improved version of DLII, that additionally to what the old version could do, it now: - handles broken BPB's better - can access the bootsector on any disk with 512B sectors (0.25 could do that already) - access raw floppies(with Track,Side & Sector) - access raw harddisk (if the primary bootsector is ok, but you can always edit that) - editing of partition info (without destroying the rest of the boot sector) - is much more user friendly, you can short cut back to the root if you are somewhere deep down in the directory tree, all dialogs are scrolled and not redrawn where possible, tries to handle odd RAM disks better (there are some that are really crazy) - will handle cluster sizes up to 4kB - has a lot less bugs (hopefully) As most people are aware (I hope) the version that is floating around out there was never really released to the public and I still don't really know what to do with the program, but there is a chance that it will get the same status as UniTerm........
