[comp.sys.atari.st] Need Spectrum picture format

I am working on a Mandelbrot set program and thought the set would look nice 
in 512 colors. I would like to be able to have the program write a Spectrum 
(c) picture file. That would be A LOT easier than trying to get my program to 
display all 512 colors. Does anyone know what the Spectrum (c) picture format  
is (compressed or uncompressed, whichever is easier to use)?
