Hello everybody,

I have been asking for a prolog for the atari in the European part
of the prolog digest list on BITNET (PROLOG at FINHUTC). I got the
following reply from: Hubert Hofbauer <K311770@AEARN>

Hans Buurman asks for a non-toy Prolog for the Atari. I know of a new Prolog
implementation by Eva Kuehn and Andreas Krall at the Technical University
of Vienna. It is call VIP - Vienna Integrated Prolog. The high speed inter-
preter (12klips on an Atari, 50 klips on a 16MHz 68020) implements a super-
set of DEC-10 Prolog with module concept. It is available for GEM-DOS (Atari)
MS-DOS, and Unix. For more information see
Andreas Krall: "Implementation of a High-Speed Prolog Interpreter",
Proceedings of the SIGPLAN'87 Symposium on Interpreters and Interpretive
     Techniques, St.Paul, Minnesota, June 24-26 1987
published as SIGPLAN Notice Vol 22 No 7, July 1987.

You can contact Eva Kuehn and Andreas Krall at

I thought I'd better send it to the list. I will inquire in Vienna.
By the way, I am receiving the atari list again (after two weeks).

Should I have shown an opinion above, it is my own.
