I decided to do some quick computation to determine what I should be getting when I format with TOS, Twister, and DCformat. Here is what I got: PGM sect. siz sects/track tracks sides TOTAL -------- --------- ----------- ------ ----- ------- TOS 512 9 80 2 737,280 Twister 512 10 80 2 819,200 DCformat 512 9 82 2 755,712 DCformat 512 10 82 2 839,680 (*) DCformat also offers the 9/80 and 10/80 sector/track combinations. If memory serves me correctly, TOS usually reports something on the order of 736,xxx bytes availble for use, so I assume some of the storage is going to overhead. What about totals that I gave in my earlier message that I received from "Show Info..."? Why are they so odd (almost literally)?
