I have an Atari 2-Mb Mega-ST which I mainly use as a terminal to a VAX via Simon Poole's 'Uniterm'. As I'm in an office with other people I usually keep the volume control on zero. Occasionally I start to hear a faint click when I press a key & a 'ting' when I hit the editor's buffer end. Of course, I can turn off key-click & bell from the control panel, but it is intriguing (worrying, even!) that the sound system has a 'mind of its own'. Anyone else come across this or know what it's up to, or have I just got a quirky ST? ________________________________________________________________________ Mike Salmon | JANET: m.salmon@uea.cpc865 Climatic Research Unit | BITNET: m.salmon%cpc865.uea.ac.uk@ukacrl University of East Anglia | BIX: msalmon __Norwich, England__________|___________________________________________ "Oh dear, I think you'll find Reality is on the blink again" __________________(and this is, indeed, what we find)___________________
