I tried reading the mouse using the Line-A offsets posted here recently and they really work but there is a catch, the mouse position can only be read if the program is a .prg not a .tos or .ttp. Shame. Is there some other locations that can be used instead? Because of the plethora of ram disks and fast disk copiers I have used since I got my ST, I found out only last night that if you drag the Drive A icon on to the Drive B icon GEM will ignore what the boot sector says and always copy 9 sectors per track. The copy even has the same boot sector with a different serial number. I think this is poor and inflexible. I rather liked the possibilty of doing dual drive backups this way but since I DCFORMAT my disks 80T & 10SPT I will have to use DC to copy them as well. I am lucky I noticed this or GEM would make a mockery of my backups. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "I think all right thinking people in this country are sick and tired of being told that ordinary decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired.
