Several people have expressed a desire to get etrnl2.prg - a resizeable,
removable, reset survivable ramdisk. I was holding off until I had the
time to recompile it so the MEGA people could use it. However, I won't
be able to get to that for at least another week. So here is the existing
etrnl2.prg.
Installation: Put it first in the auto folder.
Use: On reset or bootup, press alternate key to resize - keep key
depressed until prompted for a ramdisk spec. Then type the spec
and hit return. Example: h423 gives a ramdisk of size 423k on drive
h. Resizing destroys all that had been in the previous ramdisk.
On reset or bootup, press the left shift key to remove the ramdisk -
keep the key depressed through the boot or reset - early release of the
key could cause bombs.
Notes: Early version of etrnl2.prg could not be resized properly without
doing a remove first. This has been fixed. The default ramdisk
(which you get if no ramdisk in currently installed at bootup or
reset) is m200. The old version of etrnl2.prg could read a ramdisk
spec from a file on bootup. I removed that feature to cut down on
reset time. When I get to recompile etrnl2.prg I will have a second
version that does read a file to get a ramdisk spec.
