Hi there. A friend and I are trying to build a piece of hardware to talk to
his Atari 520 ST. We want to 8 bit inputs, which the Computer can choose
between, i.e. it sends out a bit and gets in the corresponding input. We
think the best port to use is the parallel port, which seems to be full
parallel and thus do I/O (wow, both!).
So, the questions..:
1> Is there a better way to do this.
2> If not, then
a> can the parallel port input and output simultaneously..
b> if so, how does one read it from the computer (preferably C or somesuch)
Anyway, thanks for the help, this seemed like the only place to put this....
As I don't regularly read this, could all responses please go to
dachurch @ athena . mit . edu
Thanks in advance ....
