It IS nice to have, but it is too expensive for beginner. We're talking around $795 at least for a keyboard with velocity sensitivity. I would say get a decent cheap one (like the CZ 101) and play with it. It's perfectly good. In terms of developing keyboard techinque, nothing is a substitute for a real piano anyway, and I'm sure there are plenty og those at Princeton... Dave arpa: dmb@tis.com
