[comp.sys.atari.st] Delayed write on the ST

This discussion just made me wonder: does delayed write buy you
much on the ST?

I have the feeling that most ST programs will work with their data
in-core, and then flush it all in a tight loop of write calls.

The only possible exception would be writing directory
entries, but these aren't really were you would like to use delayed
write....

Did anyone measure how many writes were saved by using delayed write?
