Subject: Apple weenies

For anyone interested in Apple's suit against Microsoft and Hewlett-
Packard, the April 4 edition of INFO WORLD has at least three good
essays about those weenies at Apple. There are comments by Steven
Jobs, an essay by Jerry Pournell and another article by William F.
Zachmann. All these articles are flaming Apple for their foolish
and anti-user lawsuits. First DRI, and now Microsoft (for Windows
and the forthcoming Presentation Manager OS/2 shell) and HP (for a
program called "New Wave" which uses, as Apple describes it, the
"Macintosh look-and-feel" (read, "graphic interface").

What a bunch of weenies. Don't get me wrong, I like the Macintosh. I
wish the ST was as asthetically attractive as the Mac. However, I hate
Apple Computer Corp. with a passion. They overprice their machines up
the wazzoo and they sue everyone else when they implement the obvious
graphical user interface. Oh well... Some people predict that this
is the last era of Apple dominance -- let's hope so.
