I have heard that in the new "blitter" TOS roms, a bug has been fixed that limited the maximum size of any single hard disk partition to 16 MB. Now, partitions of up to 32 MB in size are possible. While looking at the WINCAP file provided on the hard disk driver disk, I noticed that there is an entry for the maximum partition size in sectors which amounts to 16 MB (and is marked "*** don't change ***"). Am I correct in thinking that I would only need to double this value and then be able to create a 32 MB partition using the HDX partitioning option ? Has anyone done this ? No, you are not correct. The fatal flaw in your logic is believing the rumor that the 16MB limit was gone. It is not gone; it's still there. Please don't flame me for inaction. It took action for me to determine that I couldn't safely remove the limit. ============================================ Opinions expressed above do not necessarily -- Allan Pratt, Atari Corp. reflect those of Atari Corp. or anyone else. ...ames!atari!apratt
