[comp.sys.atari.st] The scientific method

Friesen@HIS-PHOENIX-MULTICS.ARPA.UUCP (06/05/88)

Okay you asked for it! People have been saying that the Amiga is better
than the Atari, and although I usually don't get involved with these
wars and they usually drive me crazy, I have to join in here.

The scientific outlook about the computers

First there was the Macintosh, really the first icon/mouse based
microcomputer. From that evolved the Amiga and ST. As you probable
know, the way things evolve is by mutations, well the ST was a good
mutation, but the Amiga was a BAD one. Now your probably saying, "Well,
then why hasn't natural selection made the Amiga extinct?" That is
because that it takes a long time for natural selection to get rid of
the BAD mutations.

If you are religious, this is the explanation for YOU!!!

God decided to award the good people with Macintoshes, so he created
that computer. He then decided too many people had them, and that the
REALLY good people needed an even BETTER computer, so he created the ST.
He also felt that some BAD people should be punished by having a BAD
computer, so he created the Amiga as a means of punishment!
