I have two programs, Athena (a CAD program) and Degas, that use GDOS. The problems is I can't make both programs work with the same assign.sys file. One problem is the path variable. Degas wants to use GDOS to load fonts and seems to want those fonts in a folder names, of all things, fonts. So, path = c:\fonts\ or path = c:\gdos\fonts will make Degas happy. Athena, on the other hand, wants to use GDOS for it's printer driver. If I put the printer driver, fx80.sys, in the same folder as the Degas fonts and use the Degas path definition, Athena can't find the driver and bombs (literally). An assign.sys with path = c:\gdos\ (fx80.sys of course is in c:\gdos) and all the Degas font defintions stripped out works fine. If all this sounds confusing it accurately represents my state of mind. Does a description of GDOS and it's assign.sys file that's accurate exist? I would appreciate any leads.
