[comp.sys.atari.st] Question about DigiSpec

john@cooper.cooper.EDU (John Barkaus) (06/16/88)

Hi,

I just saw an add for Spectrum 512. They also mention
Computereyes (Digital Vision) and DigiSpec (Trio Engineering). DigiSpec
creates full-color Spectrum 512 pictures using the Computereyes digitizer.
Has anyone used DigiSpec? If so, please let me know what you thought of it.
I would also like to know how the three products work together if anyone has
tried it.

Please send anyinformation you have about this to me and I will post
a summary of what I receive.

	Thank you.

I saw the combination at a computer faire in Worcester, MA and it
was impressive. Computereyes is a good digitizer but with the normal
limitation of colors it can only do so much and in fact grey scale
looks better than color. However, with Spectrum 512 and the program
that connects them, some really nice images can be digitized effectively.
I recommend that if you're going to buy a digitizer that you get the
whole setup with Spectrum 512, etc. or it won't be worthwhile.
