I have heard a rumor from several sources that COMPUTE! ST has gone to the big bit bucket. Does anyone out there have any more info on this? Bruce D. I had just renewed my subscription when I heard the same rumor. I called a phone number that I had from some subscription information and found out that it is true. Compute will soon cease to publish Compute ST. They gave me a choice to receive the regular Compute as a substitute or to get a refund. I asked for the refund and hope to see the credit on my next VISA bill. In my opinion, it is really too bad that they are discontinuing the ST version. I enjoyed their articles and the software that came with it. John ...!hplabs!hp-pcd!jma

I rarely bought Compute ST. Mainly because I had no way of checking out their articles without "breaking the shrinkwrap". I like to browse through a magazine before buying it to see if it really has anything useful, and a title and page number is not sufficient for a $10+ magazine. If it was good, I had no way of knowing, so I am not going to miss it. I can see why they might have needed to do something else since store owners didn't like the easy to tear out disk packages in the first issue, but STart used Tyvek envelopes (I use ceramic scissors - because I have to). Why did Compute think that people would buy their magazine without being aboe to look inside?
