AB084@DK0RRZK0.BITNET (07/28/88)
The following is a "returned mail" from lakesys. Obviously the address
works, but the local mailer does not know NETLIB. The problem seems to
have to do with the capitals. But even if I enter the address in small
letters the gateways will convert it to upper case. I always thought
it was standard that the case does not matter (RFC???). Am I wrong?
Of course, I see that the error message comes from a UNIX machine and
I know that under UNIX cases DO matter. But there should be a way to
avoid this problem.
