Can anyone tell me what the part number for the floppy drive port connector on the ST motherboard is? Mine appears to be shot, apparently from the dozen or so times I've disconnected and reconnected my floppy drive. Several of the female pins appear to be broken off inside the connector. The cable tests OK. I am still working off my hard drive, but doing so without a current backup gives me the willies. I got bitten by a no backup situation once, I'd hate to see it happen again for lack of a connector. Also, anyone care to venture an opinion on wether or not this is worth it? Is it likely to happen again, should I just hardwire the cable to the mother board? Please respond via e-mail. Thanks in advance!
