I remember a little while back, netters where complaining about Atari forcing
dealers to purchase $10,000 worth of parts. I now have more appreciation for
what Atari may have been trying to do. In my area, it is difficult to find
an Offical Atari Dealer that will do repairs. (I live in Los Angeles, CA)
There are many so called "Offical Atari Dealers", but they do not do repairs.
Apparently, once these dealers depleted their stock of parts, they decided
not to do repair work.
I spoke with Atari on the phone. I told her my dealer does not do repairs.
When she gave me a list of dealers in my area, she told me she did not know
which dealers are doing repairs and which are not.
My options where 1)Find a repair dealer in my area. 2)Send my machine to
Atari 3)Let my dealer send my machine to Atari
I found a dealer in Belflower.
