I am the unfortunate owner of a Toshiba P1340 24-pin printer. As far as I know, it is incompatible with every other printer in the universe and most software. The problems are three-fold: (1) NLQ/draft, bold, underline, etc. commands are not the same as any other printers (except, possibly, for the Toshiba 3-in-1 series); (2) Graphics format is WIERD, requiring 4 bytes of 6 (yes, six!) pixels for each column of output (unlike the other Toshiba printers, I believe); (3) I don't want to reinvent the wheel if someone else already has. I can configure a 1st Word setup file for it (to give a limited subset of 1st Word's abilities), but can't convince Degas, EasyDraw, etc. to print on it. I wrote a screen dump routine (worked) and built it into Tom Hudson's printer driver programs (didn't work, probably due to my own incompetence). Are there existing (PD or commercial) printer drivers for this thing? If not, is anyone interested in a good-quality 24-pin printer CHEAP ? All offers considered. Thanks very much.
