To set tabs in Gulam, use ^U (universal argument) and enter the number of columns you want per tab, then hit the [Tab] key. David Parsons has written a very nice, (and very small!) shell for the ST called TSH (teeny-shell). If you can find that around anywhere, check it out. He has also written a shareware VI clone called LEVEE. I'm not a big VI fan myself, but I've heard good things about LEVEE. I have used the teeny-shell as well, and it is very nice. However, I've become hooked on gulam because it suits my environment perfectly (the built-in terminal emulator and file transfer commands are ideal for the kind of work I do here). And I like Emacs-style editors ;-). -- Ken Badertscher | Hey, umm, the stuff I said up there Atari R&D Software Test/Support | is, like, what _I_ think, okay? {portal, ames, imagen}!atari!kbad | So, y'know, don't bug Atari about it.
