A couple of months ago, my father came to visit me in Berlin from Argentina. Since I want to interchange E-mail with him and the rest of the gang regularly, I gave him a 520 STM to take home (It's a model that came out here in Germany, 512KB, no integrated floppy but with an RF modulator. I don't know whether this version is sold in other countries). Since both Germany and Argentina use the PAL color encoding scheme, I thought there would be no problem using the TV set. However, he tells me he can't get any color on the screen. This reminded me that, although the norm is the same, Argentina uses PAL-N while Germany uses PAL-B. Does anybody out there know what's the difference? Can this be the cause for the lack of color? If it is, is there a simple fix I could apply when I go there on vacation? (I used to be able to decode the value of a resistor, given the color-code table and a couple of days, and my theoretical knowledge is even worse, so it better be real simple) -- Federico Heinz "In Dubio Pro Libido" BIX: fheinz | Beusselstr. 21 UUCP: ...!unido!tub!actisb!federico | 1000 Berlin 21 Tel: (030) 396 77 92 | F.R.
