We use ST 1040s (and other computers) in our Institute for educational
purposes. We give classes for our students and provide an opportunity
to practise using computers. We have found many of the programs on
PD languages, gulam, uniterm (the students have access to 3 UNIX boxes.).
I think one can say that the program collection IS useful from an academic
point of view, and I suggest that the collection is taken over to
the LISTSERV. This would have the additional advantage that it would
then become also a mail based server and thus accessible from other networks
than Bithan BitNet.
