But in fact, there are quit a lot companies in Europe making video cards with higher resolution. On the ATARI fair in Duesseldorf, approx. 1/3 of the software houses had monitors with 1280*960 points running their software - and yes, there is a GDOS screen driver for this monitor. So please use the informations you get when using V_OPNVWK or look at the negative LINE-A-variables. Please, Atari, force the companies to support future video modes! An emulation similar to the MAC-program 'SteppingOut' (sets video resolution at startup and scrolls when you move the mouse) will be published in the november issue of the german magazine 'ST-Magazin'. // Julian F. Likewise, Atari should make this feasable by updating the software blit and draw routines so that there is no unreasonable slow down from using system graphics calls.
