[comp.sys.atari.st] APL terminal emulators

BARSELLA@ICNUCEVM.BITNET (Bruno BARSELLA) (09/05/88)

To the intersection of netlanders & Atari users and APL users (assuming it
is not empty!)

I have decided to put this request on the nets, because all other resorces
have given no result.
I am connected to an IBM mainframe (3081) via a 7171 serial terminal
controller. I use as a terminal program the UniTerm version 2.0d (thank you,
Simon!) which has a lot of amusing features excluded the one I need most,
that is APL characters support. I don't know of any terminal emulator for
the Atari ST which supports this feature. Is there anyone in the net who
knows something about that? Or a kind soul which has written it and wishes
to put it in the public domain of APLlers? Or a professional programmer
who writes it and sells it at a resonable cost? Since I think that this
request is not of general interest, please e-mail me (the address at the
end). Thank you!!!

The program you want is TOM. If your favourite file server does not
have it, let me know, and I will send them a copy.

The TOM APL terminal package which Lee Dickey mentioned is called aplterm.uaa
here at netlib@lakesys.
