I am posting this for a friend who does not have net access. He has a 520 and a hard disk with an st506 interface. He would like to get the Beckemeyer (sp?) (Berkely Micro Systems ?) board set for the ST as it is known to operate with the drive he has (6 track, 640 cyl, write precomp on at track 0). He cannot seem to find the address for the company anywhere (he is also living about 400 miles from anything remotely describable as civilization). Could someone send me the address and/or phone of a source of the board sets so I can pass it on to him? Are there reasonable substitutes for the above if they have gone out of business? I'd appreciate an email reply as I don't usually read this group although I will keep a lookout here just in case. Thanks for any help...... john .....ubc-cs!fornax!syssol!john
