Somebody must have tried this before. I have a 1040 with 20 Mb HD. It is connected over the RS323 to a larger SUN system, at 9600 baud. I think with 9600 baud I can make a backup at night. (9600 baud, say 500 chars/second, so 30k/minute, 2M/hour). Now how do I do it ? I can make an account on the SUN that has only kermit (or whatever) instead of a shell, so it would be safe. If I had a script on the atari that would pass all files to kermit, plus some directory information, and another script to restore things.... Any good ideas ?
