Reschke (02501) 13279 ONM07 at DMSWWU1A To: INFO-ATARI16 at SCORE I would like to thank Mr. Pratt for his good tips concerning reset-resident programs and data. However, there is a not yet officially documented 'feature' in ALL TOS-versions that allows to auto-restart programs after a warmboot (using a magic number). It would be nice to see this mechanism documented, too. // Julian F. Reschke

The two system variables _memtop and _sysbase are nailed down: they don't move. There are no other addresses or funny features used in that code. What could be more version-independent? ============================================ Opinions expressed above do not necessarily -- Allan Pratt, Atari Corp. reflect those of Atari Corp. or anyone else. ...ames!atari!apratt
