[comp.sys.atari.st] Misc. Inquiries re. ST

yz2y@vax5.CIT.CORNELL.EDU (11/10/88)

I am looking for several things related to the Atari ST:

1) Some type of list of all ST compatible DS disk drives ( either encased or
not), where to get them, and prices (if possible).

2) A public domain screen-saver program that does something more interesting
     than simply reversing screen colors.

3) Places that sell used hard drives.

4) An estimated price on the new TOS ROMs (if available).

Also, would the respective persons associated with the addresses,
him1.cc.umich.edu and cs.orst.edu, please give me more detailed inform-
ation on accessing their system files. I am rather new at FTP procedures
and I can't seem to get past logon.

I appreciate all help with these items.

I have written a program which reverses screen colors + draws a
bunch of interesting moving lines. It looks mildly like Quix, but it draws
more lines before a redraw. If anyone is interested in this program, just
give me an address, and I'll uuencode it and send it there. It would also
be nice if you gave a path from a major Minnesota node to your node.

My program does have some odd bugs. It won't recognize anything
aside from a mouse movement or button press. This will hopefully be fixed,
but I am very busy, and I don't know how to get ahold of the interrupt
vectors for anything else anyways. I forgot to mention that it allows you
to set the time delay in a multiple of 15 seconds, from 0 seconds to 1485
seconds. My program is a desk accessory.

Eric Hopper (Omnifarious) Don't try to send to omni, as it is completely
unkown to any system except stag.
