After some digging (it's amazing how deep a magazine can get buried in just one month) I found the magazine describing the Mega-bus expansion for non-Mega STs. It's described as "hardware bricolage for experts", it seems to get all signals directly from the processor, buffering some lines and adding some (very little) support logic - but that is my interpretation of the circuit, and hardware is little worse than a zwahili dialect for me. The magazine is 'ST Magazin' (used to be '68000er'), from Markt & Technik Verlag AG, Hans-Pinsel-Str. 2, D-8013 Haar bei Muenchen. They also have some rep in the USA, M&T Publishing Inc., 501 Galveston Drive, Redwood City, CA 94063. I personally don't like M&T's editorial line, but they do publish very nice hacks. In the same issue, for instance, they tell you how to supply your CPU with 16 Mhz while the rest of the system still runs at 10 Mhz, giving you a performance boost and rendering the Blitter unusable. I almost forgot: it's the october '88 issue. I hope this helps anyone out there (in here?) -- Federico Heinz "In Dubio Pro Libido" From USA: ...!pyramid!\ | Beusselstr. 21 From elsewhere: ...!mcvax!unido!tub!actisb!federico | 1000 Berlin 21 Tel: (030) 396 77 92 | F.R.
