I also got DVIST and it works, but the major snag is that the public distribution only comes with 5 or 6 fonts from a complete set of about 4 Meg (according to the docs that came with it). They also claim that it takes about 150 hours of CPU on a Sun 3/160 to generate all of them. However they do say that a working subset can be held in about 500K and should handle most documents. If you are interested in DVIST, I think I still have the ARC file on watvlsi that I could mail you, or we could arrange a disk swap...just let me know...e-mail at jparker@watvlsi or Ext. 2872. I would really be happy to hear someone has generated a bunch of the necessary fonts AND how about a public domain dot matrix printer driver that I believe exist somewhere (very slow but still...)
