I've just bought a Casio CT640 keyboard (with MIDI ports),
and would welcome any suggestions as to what would be a
good MIDI software package to buy. The major use would
be with the ST as an 'electronic player' controlling the
keyboard. This requires the ability to send control
information to MIDI channels 1-4 independently but
synchronously (the keyboard looks like 3 separate
instruments, plus a fourth channel used for other stuff).
Channels 1-3 require not only 'note selection', but also
'voice selection' to tell the keyboard which of the 30
different sound generator waveforms to use.
A good graphical presentation of the musical score would
also be required for the editing phase.
