Thanks to the many people who responded to my earlier post
concerning LaTeX and DVIST.
A few days ago I promised a lot of people that I would make
LaTeX available on my account and that I would let them know
when to look. Unfortunately, when I was getting DVIST (and all
the necessary fonts: thanks to Ray White), my mailbox somehow
overflowed and was completely destroyed (the previewer is BIG).
So I can't respond to everybody because I don't know who you are.
Sorry.
Anyway, LaTeX is now available in violet:/u/wsflinn/latex and
should be completely unprotected. Help yourself. There is also a
brief README file that should fill in the necessary details. (Feel
free to contact me in person if you would prefer to give me two
disks for a night, that I may copy everything you need directly).
For reasons of disk space on my violet account, I have not made
DVIST available here. If anybody nearby wants it (and can't find
somebody else willing to send it through mail), the easiest thing is
probably to meet me in person, lend me a disk for a night, and I can
copy everything you need (everything I have, at least) onto it. This
will save the considerable hassle of creating ~30000 folders and renaming
infinitely many files (necessary to make the fonts available to DVIST).
I hope this has been of some use to somebody. (At least _I_ have
LaTeX now :-) )

Some have written that DVIST is big. It is, and it may bust your mailbox.
If you do not have it yet, you can pick up a copy from the text file
