The Dicovery Cartridge from Happy Computers can do this quite nicely amoung other things. (Like backing up Dungeon Master)

(Like backing up Dungeon Master) I just got my Discovery Cartridge a few weeks ago and I am almost happy with it. It does backup some software I was unable to backup up with ST software only prgs, but there are a few things it won't back up. It won't do OIDS although it does Dungeon Master, and it is totally worthless backing up Starglider II. I also have an Amiga and I had hoped it could be used to back up some Amiga software. Well here's where the real disappointment occured, it can't copy a simple Amiga DOS disk. I 've heard, and am about to confirm that a software only Amiga copy utility "Project D" will copy the above mentioned ST software as well as Amiga stuff. It makes me wonder why I invested in the Happy Discovery Cartridge? I'm hoping future upgrades in the software will resolve this. Is anyone else out there in ST Land using the Discovery Cartridge? I have successfully backed up a few Amiga disks for a friend of mine using the discovery cartridge.I used the flux copy routine and then I wrote my own program for 11 sector disks. It did not backup everything, but I'm convinced it will, when I learn a bit more about writing the backup control programs. So far it has backed up everything for the Atari, including Starglider II.
