From: susher@uk.ac.ucl.cs Hello again, I've just aquired the box from a 20 meg hard disc complete with everything but the hard drive itself for the small sum of $10 (for $ read pounds sterling). This contains the power supply, fan, SCSI interface board and cable. I am writting to ask you if I need anything more than the actual hard drive to get the thing talking with my ST, and if so then what. Will a Western Digital drive, like those used on IBM hard cards work/ interface with the hard disk interface? (The PCB has the inscription PCML ST hard disc interface (c)1986) If so then I'll have a 40 meg hard drive for the ST which would cost about $210 in total, not bad eh? I think that it would be useful if all replys were posted on this board so that other people can have the use of the info, after all there have been similar requests for info before. Oh yes, the interface PCB has a DIP switch on it, any ideas as to the correct positions, it came with switch 1 on and the rest off (ie 2 to 8). Thanks for any help you give. Stephen Usher p.s. I will be going home at the end of the week (16th December) so could you please reply before then or send the info direct to me. I'm sorry that I cannot reply individually if you are outside the U.K. as I have international mail barred.
