[comp.sys.atari.st] TDI -- what happened?

silvert@dalcs.UUCP (Bill Silvert) (12/13/88)

Does anyone know what happened to TDI? I bought their Modula-2
developers' kit, bought the first upgrade, was foolish enough to buy the
following downgrade, and stupid enough to send in the final $5 payment
after which I've heard nothing more. I assume that they went under.
But I haven't seen an obit, and am wondering what happened.

More important, since some of you must have the source code package, is
there a set of fixes to the last release floating around, or should I go
back to version 2? I like the language, it's a pity TDI blew it.

TDI was still alive and well when I called them a couple months ago.
However, they seemed none too enthused about helping me with some technical
problems. I haven't heard about any new releases since 3.01A. If anyone
has reccommendations for other Modula-2 compilers, I'd be interested in
hearing them.
