[comp.sys.atari.st] Looking for MEGA software--matrix manipulation

I would like to find a matrix manipulation program for the Atari MEGA
that is similar to PC-MATLAB for the MS-DOS machines. Spreadsheets
are not powerful enough---this is for modelling of optical systems.
PC-MATLAB is interactive (similar to IDL on VAX VMS) and has graphics
built in. Any ideas?

I suggest the use of APL.68000.
Since it is an array oriented language, it is perfect
for use with matrices.

APL.68000 also has APL functions that access the graphics
capabilities of the Atari ST and the Mega.

APL is a little harder to learn than BASIC and FORTRAN,
but there is a great payoff in productivity.
Just as arabic numerals are harder to learn than roman numerals,
once you have them, you never want to go back.
