[comp.sys.atari.st] Using a Video LaserDisc Player as a CD-ROM on an Atari ST.

I just read a message in rec.video that the new Pioneer CLD-3030 video laser
disc player can be used on an apple //e and a Macintosh and an IBM PC clone as
a CD ROM. My question is:

Does anyone know how to use the Pioneer CLD-3030 video laserdisc
player as a CD ROM on an Atari computer???

It seems that if a video laserdics player can be used on a Mac then it should
be possible to use it on an Atari. Maybe it could be used in the Spectre 128
Mac emulator?? Anyway, the local price for a new CLD-3030 is $1200 which is the
same price as the Mac CD ROM. The advantage of buying the video laserdisc
player is that not only can you play your movies, but you can have a CD ROM long
before Atari releases their CD ROM (if Atari ever does release one!!).

So, how about, is it possible?? Has anyone done this??
