Two events have gotten me agitated about viruses -- getting an infected
disk from a friend in Germany, and getting a 60 Meg Supra for my
birthday. I have several programs, including George Woodside's VKILLER
(which is a beautiful program by the way), for checking floppies, but
haven't heard of anything that will help with a hard disk.
My concern is that I might download a program which will infect my HD.
It seems that the only security is to run all programs only from
floppies, but this is pretty drastic -- like using Saran wrap all one's
life. Some information on viruses would be appreciated, along with
advice on how to minimize risk to a HD.
