[comp.sys.atari.st] third party color monitor

I would like to attach a third party color monitor to my ST.  Will any monitor
with RGB analog input do?  Is there something I should know?  How about
sound?

In particular, I had in mind the Sony KV-1311CR TV/monitor.  Does anyone have
experience with this one in conjunction with the ST?

Finally, where would I get a cable for the task?  The 13 pin monitor plug
on my monochrome monitor does not seem to be a commonly available plug.

Any help will be appreciated.

  who has an IBM-style DB-9 to 13-pin DIN cable available for $19.95 +$3 
shipping. Another supplier of parts you might try is Best Electronics in
San Jose, CA but I do not have my catalog here at work to tell you if
they have such things available. (incidentally, Mars does take 'magic plastic'
(i.e. VISA/MC)).
