Can anyone help? You need to type "PC7:", not just "PC7". We don't have real directories on MTS, just acconts. What you are doing is looking at another account's files. Accounts are specified with a colon. Jon Brode -- dyer@math.lsa.umich.edu Jesse '92 PC7 Moderator, Atari God (IMHO)

Can anyone help? Don't forget the trailing ':' - you should say "cd pc7:" instead. For all you folks on bitnet, I'm almost ready to test bitnet file service. If you want to see the proposed setup, send a message to PC7-ARCH@umichum.bitnet In the text of the message, say "index" to get a list of the file names, (with mod times and approximate sizes) and "info" for a blurb on how I expect things to operate. There should only be one keyword per line of the message. You will get the "info" file sent back to you if there is any extraneous text. (The software only looks for two keywords, and spews the info file if neither are found...) As such, make sure you don't have signatures tagging onto your messages... As I said, this isn't ready for real production yet. You can try the "get" command, but don't be disappointed if nothing comes back. I will post another announcement when all seems to be working... -- / /_ , ,_. Howard Chu / /(_/(__ University of Michigan / Computing Center College of LS&A ' Unix Project Information Systems
