Quick question to the Atari people:

How does one go about getting a blitter upgrade chip? How can one tell if
one's computer can take the chip. Most important, how much does it cost?

And while you're at it, apply all of the above questions to TOS 1.4, present
or future. And if it's not presently available, any guess when it will be?

Sorry Scott, there IS no blitter chip upgrade, never was, never will be.

If you have a 520 or 1040 ST, Atari's "upgrade" policy on the blitter is
exactly the same as their "upgrade" policy on memory expansion:

Trash your current computer, and buy a new one, in this case a Mega ST with
a blitter chip already installed.

(If anyone can find anything to support any other conclusion, I'd love to
hear it.)
