Could someone please help me out? I tried to ftp the PC7 archive at
him1.cc.umich.edu but received an unknown host message. I've also tried
to send notes to the addresses of Howard Chu and Jon Brode(excuse
spelling of latter if incorrect), but never seem to be able to get them
delivered. Either post the answer or send me email at above address to
help me access these files. Thanks very much for any help
offered.--Gerry

I have been trying (at various times in the "off-hours" to reach the archive,
by using it's current address (35.1.1.43). I've received confirmation from
both Jon Brode & Howard Chu that this is the correct address, and I am able
to successfully ping other hosts in ...cc.umich, so I suspect that they are
having h/w problems or have decided to drop him1 off the net for a while.

I appreciate the fact that it's their good citizenship which makes it even
possible at all, but I feel like a kid whose birthday presents all turned out
to be empty boxes. Hope you guys can get it back on the air soon.

We are still up and going strong. (not well indexed, but we keep
getting lots of stuff) Like I've said before, our hardware is flakey.

Sorry. "Keep trying" is the only advice I can give you. One day when we
are accessible by mail, this won't be as much of a problem, but until
then, good luck.
