From: S.Usher@uk.ac.ucl.cs Thanks for the letter about the QL. I'm sorry that I can't reply directly because my department doesn't allow it. All the best people use a QL, hehe. I know many people around the UK, mostly in Universities who use it. If you want a faster version, there is now available a SuperQL which runs at about 90% the speed of an ST. There is also available a new multi-tasking IBM PC emulator (which comes complete with MS-DOS verion 4.0) which runs faster on a QL than PC Ditto does on an ST! So don't throw it away, or use it as a door stop, use it for programming, SuperBASIC is the best basic I've found and can be compiled on the ST with little trouble with Hisoft Basic (which is a conversion of Supercharge). P.S. You can now get a QL emulation board for the ST! Nice to here from a fellow QL owner.
