Please help ! Could someone give explicit directions on decoding, downloading, and de-arcing binaries and sources from FTP archive-servers? I am using the current version of GULAM (1.03.04.05) with its terminal emulator running XMODEM. I also have the most recent version of UUE and UUD. My host machine at the University is running BSD4.3. Files which require the ST version of uudecode seem to work alright.. But when i have to concatenate split binaries on the host machine ... uuedecode them, and then download, de-arc them ... i often get bad header errors or the docs are good but the program bombs... An explicit explanation of the proceedure in downloading a file received from an FTP site onto an ST and getting a program to run would be immensely appreciated as I have been frustrated for several months watching great programs slip through my fingers. Posting to the net may help others who are in a similar bind. Also, the address for the server in mich ? Thanks in advance. kevin a360ad@blake.acs.washington.edu
