Regarding the MouseTrap-type programs not working on the Megas. I've
noticed that two programs which I have on myMega2 use their own form of
trap: WordPerfect ST and MegaWatt.
WordPerfect's is the cleanest one of the two. Maybe someone could
talk to the folks there and get their routine or at least, persuade them
to release a version of what they call "Menu Bar Lock" into the domain.

The referenced article observes that WordPerfect and Megawatt have the ability to disable 'drop' menus in favor of 'pull' ones, and expresses the hope that this feature can be harnessed. I'd just observe that this feature is easy to program in, but hard to add to a running program without source.
