I have a question about Atari GDOS support for Laser Printers... Does GDOS support any laser printers other than the Atari laser printer? I ask because I'm developing a user's guide for a software product with MicroSoft WRITE (on a 520 ST). ################################################################## By the way, MicroSoft WRITE on the Atari ST is pure garbage. It is so full of bugs that it should never have left the door at MicroSoft. Also, Atari should never have let the product out of its doors. ################################################################## At any rate, I have the user's guide in a fairly complete state, and it would be prohibitively tedious to move it over to another WP at this point... So, once the user's guide is finished, I'm planning on renting a laser printer and printing the manual. At present it seems that my only option is to rent an EPSON-compatible laser printer. The prospect of spending > $100 to have a laser printer emulate a 9- pin dot matrix printer doesn't excite me! So the bottom line: is there GDOS support for non-Atari laser printers (e.g. HP LaserJet II)? If so, will it work on a 520 ST? Where is it available? If I decide to bite the bullet and buy another WP program, which should I get? I need "real" fonts, laser printer support, the ability to work with a 100 page document (without running out of memory), etc. Thanks in advance, Eric Terrell
