Is anyone familiar with a TCPIP / SLIP implimentation for the Atari ST? I have a version for my magic sac, but I would prefer to run an Atari version. Scott D. Yelich scott@cs.odu.edu [128.82.8.1]

Yelich scott@cs.odu.edu [128.82.8.1] Phil Karn's by-now-famous NET program has been ported to the ST. The latest version (not perfect, but quite usable for casual netters -- it does seem to crap out if you leave it on forever) is based on last summer's "871225.33" release, which has become the basis for a whole slew of changes, some of which are included in the ST version. I put a copy on the Internet on UCSD.EDU, in the /hamradio directory, as (I think) NET33ST.ARC. Or something like it; if you can do an anon FTP to it, you shouldn't have trouble finding it. Sorry, I don't know about a uucp home. I should point out that the port was done by Walter Doerr (DK2GG) in Germany, and I just imported it. It's shareware, free for noncommercial, educational or personal use. Note that this is mainly written for ham packet radio use, but it can also be used over SLIP. It includes FTP, a sort of Telnet, SMTP (and a separate mailer called BM), ping, and a bunch of other goodies. fred
