I forgot. The blitter upgrade is definitely available from Atari. The 520 and 1040 aren't much good as boat anchors, but they make a fair doorstop. If you park on a hill you can use the keyboard end to chock your wheels. Two of them make a set of miniature jack stands you can use to raise the front of your car. With ten or more you can glue them to your driveway to construct a very effective speed bump. We all love our STs, and we realize that you love yours to, but that is
still no reason to lie about its durability. Sure, the ST has the best
user interface available. Sure its faster than the Mac. Sure its got a
much nicer keyboard and mouse than the Mac. Sure its the best computer
on the market. And we all know it's the lowest priced computer, but
that is no reason to lie about its durability. The ST is fairly
durable, but I doubt if it would last to long as a speed bump or wheel
chock.
Please people, do not make exaggerated claims about the best computer in
the world! This computer is good for what it has, not for what you lie
about! Let people lie about how good the Macs or amigas are!
So for all you new users out there, Don't try these stunts at home.
