If you look carefully, you'll see that Megamax has written their own
windowing system that looks *very* similar to GEM AES, but isn't 
quite. They do explain (somewhere) that they do not want their shell
to interact with GEM at all so that the programmer's programs and
Laser C shell interact properly.

In other words: they wrote a better windowing system then AES,
that's why its faster...
